This question is for Cliff: What personally inspired the dynamic between Brother Real and Lester Rawlings? Do you believe that it is possible to reconcile with the Lester Rawlings in our lives given how politically polarized we have become?

Could members of the cast and the author talk about “negotiating blackness” and questions of racial authenticity? Is that too much?

For Cliff: Curious about the research process that went into developing the second play. Coming from LA during the BLM protests during summer 2020, ACAB was fully connected to the conversations around policing and BLM. I’m just curious what led to the development of this play, the setting, circumstances of a domino game in an interrogation room.. all of it

I saw the possibilities of Lester Rawlings and Detective Baker having the power to change the Republican Party and police department respectively from within.

The writing was absolutely amazing, so thought-provoking and emotionally captivating. Thank you for these plays, Cliff! And to everyone else, thank you for bringing them to life so beautifully!
